Winners of the 2012 Warrens Cranberry Festival Video Contest Chosen

Warrens Cranberry Festival announces the winners of the 2012 Video Contest.

Hunter Hart, Tomah, WI - won 1st Prize
Donavon Gomez, Tomah, WI - won 2nd Prize

Both Hunter and Donavon attend the Tomah High School and submitted their entries as part of a class project in the Advanced Media Production Class.  The Media Productions is an advanced class which allows students to learn video productions ranging from scripts and storyboards to documentaries and other media.  The class is taught by Brian Kibby.

The Video Contest gives individuals the opportunity to create their own video using footage from the Warrens Cranberry Festival.

The videos can be no longer than 2 minutes in length, must be taken at the Warrens Cranberry Festival, and submitted in .avi, .mov, .mpg or .wmv format.

Prizes awarded: 
1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $50
3rd Place - $25

Warrens Premier Night A HUGE Success!!

Warrens, WI will appear in an upcoming episode of the award winning television show, Discover Wisconsin. "Warrens - The Cranberry's Big Gig" will air Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 10 a.m. on Fox Sports North (FSN) and Fox Sports Wisconsin (FSW) and the same time on ComCast Sports Chicago. It also airs Sunday, August 14, 2011, at 5 p.m. on WXOW TV 19 (ABC) in La Crosse and WQOW TV 18 (ABC) in Eau Claire.

A little over 300 people attended the Warrens Premier Night at Three Bears Lodge, in Warrens, WI. There was great food, fun prizes and even a special taped message from Governor Scott Walker. Special guests included Stephanie Klett, Wisconsin's Secretary of Tourism and former host of Discover Wisconsin and Greg Smith, Broadcast Sales, Discover Wisconsin.
