The Search for Lodging Continues...

So you've just decided you're coming to Cranfest, and now you're having trouble finding a hotel. Not to worry. There are a number of villas, or log cabins, for rent right in Warrens. Many of these cabins are roomy, so you're entire family can stay. Check out the entire list of villas at our website, www.cranfest.com, and make your reservation today!

If villas don't sound like your thing, there are a couple of hotels that still have room. Cranberry Country Lodge has rooms available on Thursday and Saturday nights, and Econo Lodge has rooms available Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Cranberry Country Lodge can be reached at 608-374-2801, and Econo Lodge can be reached at 608-372-9100. Both are located in Tomah, just 13 miles away from Warrens.

Where to Stay for Cranfest

With over 100,000 visitors each year, area lodging quickly fills up well in advance. In fact, many hotels in nearby cities like Tomah, Black River Falls and Sparta are already filled to capacity for this year's fest. So what should you do when hotels are full? Here are a few options to consider:

1. Check cities farther away from Cranfest. If your heart is set on the comforts hotels provide, you may need to look farther away in cities such as Onalaska and La Crosse. Your drive to Cranfest may be longer, but sometimes this is the best option.

2. Make Cranfest a camping trip. The festival offers camping on the grounds, eliminating the need to drive to the fest and park every day. Primitive camping is available with no electric or water, and the charge is $50 for the entire stay. Camping space is granted on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the site has never run out of room. Other nearby campsites include Jellystone Camping, which can be reached at 608-378-4977.

3. Spring for a villa. Villas are log homes that feature ample room for families and groups who need more comfort and space. Villas are mainly rented by private owner or through leasing agents, and more information can be found at our Web site, www.cranfest.com under the lodging section.

4. Plan ahead for next year. Maybe you missed out on the accommodations you wanted this year. Plan ahead for next year and book your reservations well in advance. It's never to early to book for Cranfest.

No matter how large your groups are, or what your needs may be, there is room for everyone at Cranfest! Sometimes you just have to look around.
