2013 Warrens Cranberry Festival Scholarship Awarded

Warrens Cranberry Festival Awards the 2013 Scholarships
 
Each year, the Festival awards scholarships to local area students to help them achieve higher educational goals.  The awards were presented to five individuals on May 13, 2013, at the Tomah High School Scholarship Award Ceremony.
 
The recipients, listed below, each received a Warrens Cranberry Festival, Inc., Scholarship, in the amount of $500.

Scott Kaul, Warrens, WI
Patric Schroeder, Warrens, WI
Megan Thornsen, Warrens, WI
Emilie Zamarripa, Tomah, WI

2013 Warrens Cranberry Festival Recipe Contest

2013 Warrens Cranberry Festival Recipe Contest

Submit your favorite recipes with either fresh or processed cranberries as the star of the show, for a chance to win prizes.

This year's theme - Cook With Your Favorite Color - Royal Cranberry!

There are two categories of entry:  Fresh and Processed 

Contestants can enter a maximum of two recipes in each category.

Create a unique original recipe that contains fresh or processed cranberries, choose an appetizer, bread, main dish, dessert, snack, beverage, salad, soup, jam, jelly and the list goes on and on. 

The contest is open to all cooks, 8 years of age or older, except professional chefs.  You do not need to be a Wisconsin resident to enter.

All entries must be received by midnight, May 31, 2013, to qualify.

Contest Prizes:  Six prizes of $75, $50, and $25 Visa Gift Cards, sponsored by the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Tomah and Warrens, will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners in each category. Kitchen Craft Cookware will also award each winner in both categories a piece of cookware.

Winners of the 2012 Warrens Cranberry Festival Video Contest Chosen

Warrens Cranberry Festival announces the winners of the 2012 Video Contest.

Hunter Hart, Tomah, WI - won 1st Prize
Donavon Gomez, Tomah, WI - won 2nd Prize

Both Hunter and Donavon attend the Tomah High School and submitted their entries as part of a class project in the Advanced Media Production Class.  The Media Productions is an advanced class which allows students to learn video productions ranging from scripts and storyboards to documentaries and other media.  The class is taught by Brian Kibby.

The Video Contest gives individuals the opportunity to create their own video using footage from the Warrens Cranberry Festival.

The videos can be no longer than 2 minutes in length, must be taken at the Warrens Cranberry Festival, and submitted in .avi, .mov, .mpg or .wmv format.

Prizes awarded: 
1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $50
3rd Place - $25

2013 Warrens Cranberry Festival Parade Marshals

The Warrens Cranberry Festival is pleased to announce the 2013 Parade Marshals are the Marsh Tour Bus Guides.

The Parade Marshal designation is given to the individual, family or group that has made an impactful contribution to the Festival.

This year the Festival is honoring the Marsh Tour Bus Guides, for their years of dedication and devotion to the Festival.
